MEET WHITNEY
A few things about me...Mother, wife, physician, therapist navigating life in a two-physician household. Career changes, life changes, children. Associate professor, educator, research, leader and director. Tech consultant, board member, mentor, advisor, coach and all the wisdom a lifetime offers.
My professional journey brought me from a small-town upbringing along the Mississippi River to the upper echelons of academic medicine including Columbia University, Oregon Health & Science University, and the University of Missouri. Over two decades, I have trained and mentored 100s of medical students, residents, and faculty; served in leadership for a large academic Department; produced research; written numerous peer reviewed articles; served on boards; maintained a clinical practice; and consulted with medical technology companies - all while raising children with a physician husband.
Mine has been a winding path with unexpected shifts – a change in specialties, time off to have children, and more. These shifts have not always been easy. They have required courage and deep reflection but have eventually allowed me to align my values with how I spend my time. I have never felt more freedom and space. I have gained a deeper understanding of the connections between motivation, happiness, and success. My goal now is to share this with my clients, to help them cultivate self-awareness and potentially gain access to self-actualization while navigating systems where the path often feels pre-made.
